At tonights earlier West Cork board meeting, the west cork semi-final in Junior A football Kilbrittain v St Marys has been fixed for Sunday evening next 6th August at 7pm in Timoleague.

There was no winner of the €12,800 jackpot.
The numbers drawn were 3, 10, 18, 20. €40 winners were Adam Crowley, Frank Ahern, Tim Twomey, Jon & Lucy Butler, Dan & Mgt Collins. Kilmacabea beat Ballinascarthy 2-15 to 0-10 in their quarterfinal, while St Oliver Plunkets beat Tadgh Mccarthaigh 1-13 to 0-14 and St Marys beat St Colums 1-11 to 0-8. Kilmacabea should be the favourite from the last four to claim the Mick McCarthy Cup provided they progress, But Kilbrittain are more than capable of putting it up to any team from here on in and have a great chance of progressing to the final and of winning it outright. Anyone wishing to order tickets for the All-Ireland semi-final Cork v Waterford on August 13th in Croke Park, are asked to please place your order with club secretary Marion Twohig 0868346124 before the end of the weekend as the Club order will be placed at the beginning of next week.

Ar Aghaigh le cheile Kilbrittain booked their spot in the semi-final of the west cork Junior A football championship with a 3-11 to 1-11 win over Barryroe in Ballinascarthy yesterday evening. A first half goal from Declan Harrington helped Kilbrittain to a 1-6 to 0-3 halftime lead. Harrington struck again 3 minutes into the second half with a palmed goal following a fine pass from Josh O'Donovan. O'Donovan himself scored Kilbrittain third with 12 minutes to the end to help Kilbrittain reach the semi-final for the first time since 1997.
The Quarter- final of the Junior A football championship, Kilbrittain v Barryroe has been fixed for Sunday next 16th July, in Ballinascarthy at 7:30pm.

The death has occurred of Lydia O'Mahony, daughter of Denis and Louise. Funeral arrangements on RIP.ie The sympathies of the club are expressed to the O'Mahony family. Also to Micheal (Referee), Jim, Tadgh, Paul and Stephen who have all been involved in the adult club and under-age section over the last number of years in roles of officers, players and manager/selectors. |
