Well done to all who turned out for the Puc Fada competition. with 75 entrants, including a German entry originally from Dresden, who was using a hurley for the very first time!
it was one of the bigger turnouts we have had!

Puc Fada 2012
The annual Puc Fada competition will be held on St Stephens Day, 26th December.
All are welcome to take part in this fun event. Log in times will be from 10:30 am to 12:30pm.
(note, the last group of players will head out at 12:30. there will be no more entries after this time!)
This event has proven to be an enjoyable occasion for those who take part. While the course can be testing with the up hill start and several sharp corners to be negotiated, and the decent towards the castle which can be deceiving, it is acheivable for all age groups. The usual categories will apply, Under 16, Over
16, Over 40, and Ladies. So come along and enjoy the fun and walk off the christmas dinner!..
p.s. bring your own hurley and appropriate footwear and clothing depending on the weather!
Entry fee is €10 for over 16, €5 for under 16 years of age. We look forward to your participation.

Well done to all who turned out for the Puc Fada. Despite early bad weather and an incessant heavy shower of rain during the event, there were 72 entries, with some people braving the elements and doing a second round of the course!
Well done to Seamus O'Brien who won the overall competition with a score of 29 shots.
Fintan O'Connell with 30 shots was deemed the winner of the over 16 - under 40 section.
Dan O'Connell was the winner of the over 40 section with 33 shots.
Eimear O'Sullivan was top in the ladies section with 32 shots.
Patrick O'Mahony was top of the under 16 section with 33 shots.
