The O'Connor Coaches sponsored golf classic was held in Bandon Golf Club on Friday last. An impressive 72 teams were listed on the time-sheet on what was a hugely successful event in the club's diary. The number of teams was a big increase on last year and also the tee-box sponsors had increased to a total of 61. The success of the event was in no doubt due to the renewed enthusiasim of the committee under the chairmanship of Tomas Brennan. The club would like to thank all the sponsors of teams and tee-boxes for their support and in most cases, continued support of this, the clubs main annual fundraiser. The main results were as follows. 1st: Denis Hurley's team; Denis Hurley, Ger O'Shea, James Hurley 55 points. 2nd: Owen Sextons team; Jonathon Lehane, Adrian Crowley, Barry Curlie 54 points. 3rd: Ronan Currans team; Ronan Curran, Jonathon O'Callaghan, Tom O'Shea 54 points. Ladies -1st: Scannells Pharmacy team; Mary Scannell, Grainne Cowhig, Mary Cowhig, 51 points. 2nd: Patricia Nyhans team; Pat Nyhan, Sheila Foley, Ann O'Rourke 45 points. 3rd Gretta Hurleys team; Gretta Hurley, Kathleen O'Donoghue, Mary Scanlan 42 points. Nearest the pin: Micheal Quinlan, Longest Drive: Jonathon Lehane.
A full list of winners can be seen on the club website. On Sunday, all roads led to Bandon when the Intermediate hurlers met Ballincollig in the first round of the championship. In one of the most important games for the club in recent times, both teams served up a thrilling game that went to extra time and all the ways to the wire with Kilbrittain emerging victorius by the narrowest of margins 1-16 to 0-18. The performance was wholehearted and one of passion and determination from each of the seventeen players used on the day. The win was greeted with scenes of jubilation from the Kilbrittain support and guarantees Intermediate status at least for 2016. Kilbrittain can now look forward to the fourth round draw. Well done to all involved.
Don't forget the first round of the intermediate hurling championship takes place on Sunday in Bandon at 2:30pm Kilbrittain meet Ballincollig in one of the most important games in recent history. We wish everyone the very best of luck.

Kilbrittain/Timoleague camoige club are holding a 'Used Clothes / Bedding / curtains etc collection' on this Saturday morning 16th at The community pitch adjacent to the dressing rooms from 10:30am. Please support.
The numbers drawn were 5, 11, 12, 27. There was no winner of €15,800 jackpot. €40 winners were Josephine Crowley, P Northridge, 'Alex & Grace', Edmund Moloney, Owen O'Sullivan. The jackpot for the coming weekend will be €15,900 and the draw takes place in The Kilbrittain Inn.
The annual Golf Classic takes place this coming Friday in Bandon Golf club. With over 70 teams on the time sheet, it promises to be one of the highlights of the club calendar.
All roads lead to Bandon on Sunday next when Kilbrittain Intermediate hurlers meet Ballincollig in the first round of the championship. The game is fixed for 2:30pm. Support would be appreciated. We wish all involved the very best of luck.
