The boxers from both sides were introduced to each other and the pairings were revealed in Corcorans Bar last Saturday night. Paudie Palmer was on hand to keep the peace. It all nearly boiled over when the heavy weight pairing of John Corcoran and Lawrene Sexton came head to head!

All were up against some fine footballers with Gabrial Rangers receiving 8 all-stars on the night. Club PRO Oliver O'Brien accepted the award on Noels behalf. The Micheal Holland cup final was played yesterday in Kilbrittain Bandon met Argideen Rangers and with Bandon's year hardly over after winning the county and playing their Munster championship recently, they were fancied to win it. Credit to Argideen for fulfilling the fixture knowing they would have been up against it having being out of competition for a while. It ended in a Bandon win on a scoreline of
Bandon 5-23 Argideen Rangers 0-8 The Junior A hurlers were comprehensively beaten by St James in the section 2 league final in Timoleague earlier on Sunday. The scoreboard read 9-29 to 1-6 which reflected St James's dominance from the start in a game where Kilbrittain started with 14 players. Despite the loss, Kilbrittain will participate in section 1 of the league in 2017.

the format for the Junior championships for 2017, The Clash without the Ash joint fundraiser with Courcey Rovers, Date for the AGM Hard luck to the Minor A hurlers who met St Catherines in the county league semi-final earlier Thursday evening in Ballynoe and were beaten 1-13 to 2-6. It brings an end to a great year fro the minor hurlers after winning a West Cork championship and league double and having participated in the county stages of both competitions. Also having reached the final of the non exam league (not played).
