The Junior A hurlers bowed out of the championship at the hands of St Oliver Plunkets on Friday night last. Having been beaten well in the previous two rounds, Kilbrittain can be proud of the performance on the day with many players having fine games. The game was level at halftime, Kilbrittain 0-5 Plunkets 1-2 and Kilbrittain lead briefly in the second half following a goal from Eamon Lyons. Plunkets experience shone through however as they re-took the lead and held out from some great pressure from Kilbrittain who fought till the very end. It was an encouraging performance overall considering the previous losses, especially from some of the younger players.
Final score read Kilbrittain 1-7 St Oliver Plunkets 1-10 https://rip.ie/showdn.php?dn=325192/MargaretDOLLARD/Kilmacow/Kilkenny
The death has occurred of Margaret Dollard, mother of John Dollard, Glendubh. The sympathies of the club are expressed to Johns family. |
