Kilbrittain have been joined by Kilmacabea, St Oliver Plunkets and St Marys in the semi-finals of the Junior A football championship. Kilbrittain will play St Marys in the first semi-final which could be played next weekend. Day, time and venue to be confirmed.
Kilmacabea beat Ballinascarthy 2-15 to 0-10 in their quarterfinal, while St Oliver Plunkets beat Tadgh Mccarthaigh 1-13 to 0-14 and St Marys beat St Colums 1-11 to 0-8. Kilmacabea should be the favourite from the last four to claim the Mick McCarthy Cup provided they progress, But Kilbrittain are more than capable of putting it up to any team from here on in and have a great chance of progressing to the final and of winning it outright.
