50th Anniversary Dinner
A great night was had by all who attended the 50th Anniversary Dinner Dance in Fernhill House Hotel on Saturday night 2nd March.
2013 marks fifty years since the clubs first dinner dance which was held in February of that year in the Munster Arms hotel Bandon.
Guest speakers on the night in Fernhill were 1963 Chairman, Barry O'Sullivan and current President of the club Frank O'Brien who Barry replaced as Chairman in 1963. Both speakers spoke of their memories of 1963 and that era and congratulated all the officers of the club since who kept the club going through thick and thin.
Ex Chairman Liam Ryan spoke about the upcoming fundraising draw for the new development and encouraged full support.
Presentations were made to Cork players Ross Cashman and Jamie Wall who wasnt in attendance due to the Fitzgibbon Cup final earlier in the day.
Chairperson Tomas Brennan made a special presentation to Barry O'Sullivan in recognition of his officership of Chairman in 1963.
A group photo was organised and the club would like to thank everyone for their co-operation for this photo. Surely one to look back on in fifty years time!
Bog the Donkey kept the dance floor busy all night. A hugely enjoyable night to all who attended.
