The minor hurlers came up against a stronger, hungrier Courcey rovers outfir in the Sean Holland memorial cup tournament game played on Sunday morning in Ballinspittle. Kilbrittain were short a number of regulars due to various reasons and found it difficult to breakdown a strong Courcies defence. Kilbrittain were down 1-9 to 0-4 at halftime and faced an uphill battle in the second half. Two second half goals, one either end of the half, put the game firmly beyond Kilbrittains reach.
