Well done and congratulations to Bandon who won the Micheal Holland Cup for the first time yesterday in Kilbrittain. Bandon lead from the start and did all the damage in the first half, a half they dominated scoring 1-12 to Kilbrittain's 0-5 during the first half. The goal with eight minutes left in the half put them up 1-10 to 0-3 and left Kilbrittain with a mountain to climb. Kilbrittain restored some pride in themselves in the second half as they were a different team to that of the first. Despite the turnaround, a much needed goal never arrived and Bandon kept their scoreboard ticking over with five second half points to win 1-17 to 0-12. Bandon captain Donagh Lucey accepted the cup from Aaron Holland and John Corcoran, chairman of the West Cork Board.
The U21 C footballers made their exit from the championship following a thrilling game in Leap with Muintir Bhaire winning by two points after extra-time, 3-12 to 2-13. Full report to follow.
