Thanks to all the players who have co-operated so far and paid their membership either physically, through the bank or at the registration night.
It looks like the Junior Football league is starting on Sunday next. At present, 32 players have paid. Not all of these play football. If you intend to play on Sunday and have not paid membership yet, please do so as soon as possible. As agreed at the AGM and subsequent meetings, you will not be allowed play otherwise. A list of the paid up players is on this website and will be put on facebook prior to the weekend. The sympathies of the club are expressed to Brendan Kearney, Martina, Jacqueline, Linda, Adrian and Sylvia and the extended Kearney and Madden families on the sudden death of Brendan's wife May on Monday 21st January.
May she rest in peace. rip.ie/death-notice/caroline-mc-carthy-kilbrittain-cork/376208

Funeral arrangements can be seen on RIP.ie on the link above. May she rest in peace. In Previous years We have endeavoured to ensure that all people, players and mentors alike were registered if they were part of a team or group. In the case of players, it is advised to be registered before they start playing games for a particular year. In the case of ordinary members, the national deadline is 31st March.
Any new player joining a team at underage or adult has to be registered with the club at least three days before they play a game for the club. In previous years, we have always ensured players especially are registered in time. In previous years, we chased membership afterwards and in some cases would chase it throughout the year. From a club perspective, this was the wrong way to do business. In previous years, previous registered players/members could be registered 'In Block'. Since last year, the registration involves, acknowledging that each person is a FULLY PAID MEMBER TO THE CLUB. Last year we made better efforts to get membership off players than in previous years but we did not chase mentors of teams. Following one incident involving a senior player last year, we cannot, going forward, continue to do what we have done in previous years. All persons who are involved as players, mentors, trainers, coaches or officials who will find themselves inside the wire for games or training must be paid members according to rule! learning.gaa.ie/sites/default/files/Club%20Manual%20Insurance%20%26%20GAA%20Injury%20Benefit%20Fund%20%281%29.pdf Again, Players must be paid up members before they play or they will not be registered going forward. Mentors etc, must be paid up ideally before trainings/games begin and by the national deadline of 31st March Ar Aghaigh Le Cheile A reminder that all player membership has to be paid before players will be allowed play. Mentors, selectors and trainers will also be expected to pay membership. You will not be allowed play if you have not paid the membership. Because if you have not paid membership, you will not be registered to play and therefore will not be covered by insurance in the event of an injury. (this goes for mentors too, an injury could happen to someone on the sideline accidentally)
Happy New Year to all involved with the club, players, mentors, supporters and sponsors! thanks to those who turned out for the St Stephens day Puc Fada, a big crowd and a good day was had by all.
A new Year so a new start, players are reminded they will not be allowed play this year unless membership has been paid.. Please pay through the bank details sent out prior to Christmas or alternatively pay to club officers . Gaes will be starting soon. We will be naming names. Please don't make it difficult! |
