Kilbrittain met a physically strong Courcey Rovers side on Friday night last in Timoleague in the final of the group2 non exam league, hurling 13-a-side. 4 first half goals for Courcies put daylight between the sides and it remained that way for the remainder of the match despite Kilbrittains score of 3-9 over the hour. it finished 5-17 to 3-9. A full report can be seen in the underage update section.
Best of luck to Patrick O'Mahony who will referee the half-time 'primary' game during the Cork v Tipp Munster senior football championship in Pairc Ui Rinn (5pm tomorrow, Saturday 10th). Also best of luck to Ronan Crowley who will be playing on the Cork Primary team.
Kilbrittain Junior B hurlers braved the elements and travelled to Ballinascarthy to meet Barryroe in the first round of the championship earlier this evening. The fixture was a repeat of last years final (and a repeat of last years weather!), but the result was different as Kilbrittain prevailed on this noccasion. Leading 2-2 to 1-0 at halftime, Kilbrittain went in at the break down to 14 men after Denis Ryan was sent off during the first half. Kilbrittain held out during a darkening second half to win 3-3 to 1-6.
The Junior B hurlers are in championship action this Friday night in Ballinascarthy where they meet Barryroe in a repeat of last years final. The game is fixed for 8pm. Best of luck to all involved.

The death has occurred of Ciaran Feiriteur Castleview. Ciaran was husband of the late Caroline, and father of Damien, Ashling and Ciara. Funeral arrangements on RIP.ie Kilbrittain Intermediate hurlers overcame a stern challenge from Barryroe in Clonakilty earlier today. Barryroe led at halftime 1-8 to 0-7 their goal coming in the second minute of the game. Kilbrittain were glad of the halftime break and were like a different team in the second half. They dominated from the second half throw in and were level by the 14th minute before a fine goal from Declan Harrington a minute later gave Kilbrittain the lead that they wouldnt lose. A miss hit Barryroe free from their goal keeper fell to Pat O'Mahony who sent in a long ball over the head of the retreating goalie and all the ways to the net with three minutes to the full time whistle. Kilbrittain finished strong with three points in injury time to finish 2-16 to 1-9.
