There will be an Adult Club Registration night on Friday 17th January in The Amber Bar. Anyone wishing to become a member of the club can pay their membership on the night. Players especially are expected to pay their membership that night if they have not done so beforehand.

The death has occured of Fr Eddie Collins on January 5th 2020, peacefully at his residence. FR. EDDIE, much loved brother of Michael, Fr. John, Joan (O' Donovan), Mary (Dineen) and Barry, played minor hurling for three years with Kilbrittain in the late 1950's. He was centre forward on the minor team in 1958 who won the West Cork title for the first time in the clubs history. The side was captained by Frank O'Brien who played alongside Fr Eddie at wing forward. Funeral details attached on the link above. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis Kilbrittain U21 footballers opened the season with a fine win in the first round of the Glenville tournament. They met Bandon in Clashavanna on a cold damp Sunday morning, yesterday. Bandon were full value for their halftime lead of 2-7 to 2-3 with some very impressive scores. Kilbrittain's Conor Hogan and Mark Hickey with the first half goals. Kilbrittain were transformed in the second half and aided by a couple of fortuitous goals, marched to an impressive 5-10 to 2-9 victory. The second half goals from Thomas Sheehan, a penalty, Conor Hogan's second and Bertie Butler added the fifth.

Membership must be paid before players will be registered as from the good example last, year, players are asked to co-operate again this year. Congratulations to David Desmond and Emma O'Mahony who got engaged recently!

Players will have to be fully paid up before they play to be covered by the GAA insurance scheme.
No player will be registered unless they pay their membership. Player membership remained at €100 and can be paid to Officers or specifically Marion Twohig or Oliver O'Brien. |
