Now that training has officially started and matches will be starting,(U21 played practice match last weekend.) players are reminded to pay their membership before they play. It is important to have membership paid so in the event of an injury, you will be covered under the GAA injury scheme. Player membership was fixed at €70 at the AGM in November. Players are asked to pay away to any officer.
Also it might be an idea for players to start getting used to wearing gumshields/mouthgaurds while playing football. Minors down are required to wear them this year and will not be allowed play without one. All players will be required to wear them from the first of January 2014, so start getting used to them during 2013!
