Eoin Cadogan and Ciarán Sheehan are the most high-profile additions to the Cork senior football team for Sunday’s McGrath Cup quarter-final against Tipperary at Páirc Uí Rinn (2pm).
Cadogan, who had been travelling for the past few months, has returned and is named at full-back. While there had been speculation that the Douglas man would commit to only playing football for the coming year, no decision has yet been
made on the subject.
The selection of Cadogan frees up Michael Shields to form an all-new half-back line along with Brian Shanahan and Noel
O’Leary. Alan O’Connor, who started at full-forward in Sunday’s win over Cork IT, is picked in his more familiar midfield role while Sheehan is centre-forward. In the full-forward line, Barry O’Driscoll and Donncha O’Connor are both changes from the last game.
