Bitter disappointment followed last nights relegation playoff as Watergrasshill preserved their premier status at the expense of Kilbrittain. A wholehearted display from Kilbrittain, one of their best of the year, wasn't good enough. Some dodgy referee decisions went against us and Watergrasshill won the majority of the breaking ball to win on 1-22 to 1-16.
Kilbrittain players can hold their heads up high as it was some of their best performances of the year. With both teams having reached the quarter-final in 2013, it shows how level the standard is in the Premier grade when there are no real dominant teams there.
