Kilbrittain are half way to retaining Intermediate hurling for 2020 (all be it Lower Intermediate) by virtue of a fine win over Na Pairsaigh last Saturday afternoon in Ballinhassig. Two first half goals from Philip Wall helped them to a 2-9 to 1-3 halftime lead. Wall's third goal just after halftime and with Ross Cashman back to his best, and the forward division all stepping up to the mark, taking the pressure off Maurice Sexton for scores, (he did score 1-4), Kilbrittain did enough to make next weeks task that little bit easier after clocking up a fine tally of 4-16. They still need to get the job done next week to copper fasten their position for next years championship. The final score in Ballinhassig was Kilbrittain 4-16 Na Pairsaigh 2-6

Having been beaten this year by Blackrock and Dungourney in the championship, we found ourselves in a relegation dogfight. We were beaten by Kildorrery and subsequently, Milford by narrow margins and now find ourselves in the group of three with only one team to survive in Intermediate hurling (all be it Lower Intermediate) for 2020. Na Piarsaigh, having been beaten by Barryroe a few weeks ago have overcome Ballinhassig last week and will survive if they win on Saturday. Therefore, It is do or die for Kilbrittain. We urge everyone to come out and support the team, YOUR team, YOUR Club on Saturday in Ballinhassig. Now is the time the team needs as much support as it can get...
